About

Hi and welcome to PASSIONAustralia.org!

This blog is a place where I share the resources I have written, recorded and preached over the years. I also include reflections on faith, life, the Bible, ministry and my fitness hobbies.

In the past I have completed my Bible college studies through Tabor Adelaide. I have been a Pastor of a small country church, I have worked as a School Chaplain and also as a Companion Carer.

My heart in having this website is to encourage people in their faith in Christ. I have been following Jesus for 35 years. I have found this journey to be an amazing adventure and I want to share it with others!

I originally set up PASSIONAustralia.org way back in 1998. Since this time we have been reaching out to the people of Australia and the world via this website. Since 1998 we have had tens of millions of visitors from all over the world.

I hope and pray that you enjoy your visit and that God blesses you while you are here.

If you have been blessed by my website, please consider buying me an iced coffee at my local cafe.

God’s Richest Blessings,
Dave

My Beliefs

My beliefs are similar to the beliefs that millions of Christians have held in the last 2000 years. The Apostles Creed is a great summary of what we hold true and sacred as Christians. In the Creed we find commonality and unity across the Christian churches and denominations down through the ages.

The Apostles Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.

Amen.

The Five Solas

Another core belief held by many Christians is the Five Solas. Since the Reformation, Christian tradition is often summed up by five solas. Sola is the Latin word for “alone”.

Scripture Alone: The Bible is the supreme and final authority, not the traditions of the Church.

Christ Alone: Sinners are justified in God’s sight only on the basis of Christ’s finished work on the cross and through his resurrection.

Faith Alone: God’s pardon to sinners is granted to and received by faith alone, apart from works.

Grace Alone: All of salvation, from beginning to end, is only by the grace of God.

To the Glory of God Alone: God alone receives glory for our salvation.
