About

February 28th, 2015

Hi, my name is Dave and I live in Central Wheat-belt of Western Australia. That is me on the top banner.

PASSIONAustralia.org is my personal ministry website I set up in 1998. It is a place where I share the resources I have written and/or preached over the years. It is also a place where I share reflections of faith, life and the Bible.

My hope in sharing these resources is to “Reach, Encourage and Equip others for Christ”.

In the past I have worked as a country church Pastor and I previously completed my Bible college studies through Tabor Adelaide. Currently I am a Lay Preacher with PASSIONAustralia.org and I preach at local churches in our region.

Most of my posts will be about faith, life, church and the Bible. However, in my spare time I enjoy keeping fit by weight training and cycling and I also enjoy watching AFL, NBL and Cricket. So, from time to time I will post about these things too.

I really hope and pray you are blessed and encouraged by the resources on my website and you enjoy my blog posts.

God’s Richest Blessings,
Dave

My Beliefs

The sole basis of our belief is the Bible, which we believe is uniquely God-inspired, without error, and the final authority on all matters of faith. As the Bible teaches, there is one God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — each possessing all the attributes of Deity.

God created humans to have fellowship with Him, but they defied God by sinfully going their own way. As a result, we need God’s saving grace to end our alienation from Him. Salvation comes only through God’s saving grace — not human effort — and must be received personally by repentance and faith.

Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Trinity, lived a sinless life on earth and voluntarily paid for our sin by dying on the cross as our substitute. This accomplishes salvation for all who receive grace by trusting in Him alone. He rose from the dead and is the only mediator between us and God. He will return to earth to consummate history.

The Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, draws sinners to Christ and equips believers for personal growth and service to the church. The church’s role is to glorify God and serve those in need. At the end, everyone will experience bodily resurrection and the judgment. Those forgiven through Christ will enjoy eternal fellowship with God.
