Beyond my wildest hopes and dreams

November 10th, 2014

Hearing that it has been 25 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall has made me a bit reflective. I have been thinking what my life was like then compared to now.

Then I was 22 years of age, single, depressed and suffering terribly with Rheumatoid Arthritis in my legs and feet. Everything I did was a real struggle. The only real positive was that I have not long become a Christian and had a new hope in Christ.

Fast forward 25 years. I am married to a wonderful woman, have two amazing teenage girls, I have been walking with Jesus for 25 years, we own our own home, Rheumatoid Arthritis is a distant memory, I can run, squat over 100kg’s, deadlift 100kg’s and I am working part time in a job I enjoy.

Life is good. I had a new hope when I came to Christ, but life now if far beyond my hopes and dreams I could have ever dared to imagine back then. I am so thankful to God for all His blessings. I am glad He reached out to me and brought healing and wholeness into my life.

A lot has changed for me since the Berlin Wall came down… and I feel like the best is yet to come!

God Bless,
