What I like about church part 5

December 1st, 2012

Today I want to look at another aspect of church I like. This one is prayer support networks.

I like being part of a bigger group of people who care for and support each other in prayer. I like knowing I have people I can turn to who can pray for me when I need it.

Over the years I have appreciated having a prayer covering for when one of my family is sick, facing surgery, doing exams, going for a job interview, when we need God’s guidance or when we are not traveling well in general.

I also like to know that I am part of the solution or help network when people ask me to pray for them. Often my wife and I will stop and pray straight away when someone asks us to pray.

Knowing you have people praying for you and knowing you are praying for others helps you keep connected to each other and to God. It helps you to be mindful of the eternal realities.

What do I like about church – prayer support networks.

God Bless,

Dave
