The London Olympics

August 13th, 2012

I really enjoyed the London Olympics. There was lots of great performances and inspiring moments.

One thing that stuck out for me was the friendliness of the competitors towards each other. It was common to see athletes hug each other after races or events.

Another thing I really liked was how the Olympic Flame Cauldron was made up. Each of the countries as they came in to the stadium had a bowl with them. These were collected and placed together to form the Cauldron.

For me this symbolised people coming from all nations to join together in an athletic event. To come to see who was the best at each sport, but also to be a part of something that brings most of the world together.

Being a true sports lover I love the Games and really look forward to it every time. This time I will remember it for the great performances and also the friendly attitudes of the athletes as they competed.

God Bless,

Dave
