Australia’s current population
October 9th, 2009
Ever wondered what the current population of Australia is? I found this on the Australian Bureau of Statistics…
On 9 October 2009 at 17:54:29 (Canberra time), the resident population of Australia is projected to be: 22,009,769
This projection is based on the estimated resident population at 31 March 2009 and assumes growth since then of:
- one birth every 1 minute and 44 seconds,
- one death every 3 minutes and 39 seconds,
- a net gain of one international migrant every 1 minutes and 53 seconds leading to
- an overall total population increase of one person every 1 minute and 12 seconds.
The thing I find interesting is that they know on average how many people will be born, die and migrate every minute or so.
I hope the ones who are dying know Jesus! It makes me want to get out and talk to people about Him.
