Who really knows your struggles?

June 8th, 2009

If you are Christian or in ministry I want to ask you some questions today. Who really knows your deep struggles? Who are the people in your life that really know what your weaknesses are and the areas where you are tempted? Is there anyone you share with?

I believe it is vitally important to have good people around you that you can honestly share with. Share the good and your victories and share your struggles and your weaknesses.

I have two people that I can share my areas of weakness with. One is my wife and the other is a close friend I trust. If I am ever struggling with any issues like lust, pride, anger, temptation etc I can talk with them. I know I won’t be judged and I know that they will pray for me and check in with me and see how I am going.

Having this in place helps me to keep my heart, my mind and my walk with God as pure as possible. It is never going to be perfect as I am human, but having these in place help to me from getting too far off track.

I am a big believer in James 5:16. It says, “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective”.

Talking and sometimes confessing my struggles and failures with those close to me keeps me strong and on track. If you haven’t got this in place. I would encourage you to get started today.
