A deeper appreciation

March 11th, 2009

One of the things I have found since returning back to Bible college is that I now have a deeper appreciation for what God has done for me.

As I have studied the doctrines of sanctification, justification and redemption I have come to appreciate Jesus dying on the cross for me in a newer and deeper way. My entire standing before God and how I view my relationship with Him has been expanded incredibly.

It has been great to be reminded that since before the foundations of the earth I have always been on God’s mind and in His heart. Being reminded that long before my birth He has always known that Christ would die for my sin is amazing. And being reminded that Jesus left heaven and the intimate relationship He shared with the Father and the Spirit to rescue and restore me is breath taking.

My studies have given me more knowledge, a greater desire to serve Him, but most importantly they have given me a deeper appreciation of what God has done for me in Christ Jesus.

And the great news is…that He did it all for you too!
