My name is Dave Quinn. I live in Merredin, Western Australia with my wife and my two girls. Currently I am a full time student studying Theology and my wife and I homeschool our kids. I am also involved with the Christian ministry PASSION Australia.
The PASSION Blog is a place where I share the things that I have been mulling over. Being a Christian they revolve around my faith, family, church and the things that I have learned in my Bible studies. From time to time I will also share what’s been going at PASSION or post on sport, my hobbies and/or homeschooling.

Age: 41 and getting younger!
Family: Married for 12 years to Larissa with two girls Olivia and Natasha
Occupation: Student - I am currently taking a year off work to study full time externally student at Tabor Bible College Adelaide.
Favourite Books: The Bible (God and friends!), Fathers Who Dare Win (Ian Grant), Just as I am (Billy Graham), Starting a House Church (Kreider & McClung), Purpose Driven Life (Rick Warren)
Favourite Holiday Destination: It used to be Bussleton WA where we had our honeymoon, but now it is sitting on our front veranda with my wife having a coffee!
How I relax and wind down: Weight training, prayer walks, family time, watching sport, woodwork
My Favourite Teams: West Coast Eagles (AFL), The Australian Cricket Team
My Favourite Food: Depends who makes it - Home made hamburgers and chips (my Wife), Fried Rice (Mum), Roast (Mum in law), Baked beans on nachos chips with cheese (me). I should have been a diplomat!
My Favourite Movie: Anything that inspires me and where people do the right thing when all is stacked against them. I love watching videos with my kids too - Lion King, Alladin, Mulan, The Incredibles are some of my favourites.
My Favourite Music: I have a wide range of tastes in music. I like music from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. My favourite Christian worship is Hillsong and CCC and some of my favourite bands are Casting Crowns and Mercy Me.
My Pets: Billy (after Billy Graham) - 8 year old Doberman cross, Kuching - 10 year old cat, Thumper - 12 month old adopted rabbit, Chloe - new kitten, 5 chooks - Beautiful, Gorgeous, Speckles, Sasha and Mrs Jessop (named by my girls!)
Favourite Bible Verses: Psalms 1:1-3 “Oh, the joys of those who…delight in doing everything the LORD wants; day and night they think about his law. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season without fail. Their leaves never wither, and in all they do, they prosper“.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”.
My Life Goals: To live a life that reflects my deep faith and commitment to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To be the best husband and father I possibly can be. To lead people to Christ and to help them to become lifelong followers. To be a positive person who encourages those around me and makes a difference to their lives. To serve God faithfully until He calls me home.
